Podcast Rankers

Our Podcast Rankers list the top podcasts in Australia, Canada, Latin America, the Netherlands, and the United States as measured by Triton Podcast Metrics. The entities listed are ranked by Downloads and/or Listeners/Users in accordance with v2.2 of the IAB Podcast Technical Measurement Guidelines.

TritonRankers.com is our robust and interactive site for podcasters and advertisers to easily navigate and filter by podcast category, publisher, and time period, gaining insights into monthly performance trends. Rankers available include Top Podcasts, Top Publishers, and Top Sales Networks.

Streaming Rankers

Our Streaming Global Rankers showcase the top performing digital audio publishers and sales networks as measured by Triton Webcast Metrics. Streaming Global Rankers are currently available for the United States, Latin America, the Netherlands and EMEA regions.


A Dual Approach to U.S. Podcast Measurement

For the United States, we have expanded our podcast measurement methodology to include a dual approach, combining IAB-certified download data with insights from an annual, nationally representative survey. The new reports will now be available: Top 200 Podcasts by Listeners/Viewers (survey) , Demos+ Top indexing Programs by Audience Composition and Demos+ Category (genre) Ranker.

Triton will also maintain its existing monthly download ranker, a key measure of the total volume of episodes consumed. The combined ranker is a first-to-market blend of download and survey data, including key demographic insights. The new data is sourced from the Demos+ survey and audience profiles in collaboration with Signal Hill Insights. The result is the most comprehensive, transparent ranker to date, delivering actionable insights that serve everyone from advertisers and agencies to publishers and creators. 


The addition of survey data provides a more comprehensive picture of the U.S. podcast landscape and expands podcast visibility beyond downloads by reporting true listener reach.

For advertisers and agencies, these audience-based insights offer a smarter, more strategic approach to media planning. With show-level insights on listener demographics, interests, and purchase intent, marketers can easily identify the podcasts that align with their target audiences - from men and women 18-34, income &100K +, and Moms, to auto intenders and quick serve restaurant patrons. 

For publishers and creators, this framework delivers a powerful tool to demonstrate value, surface high-performing shows, and attract brand investment.
