Triton Digital Releases The June 2022 U.S. Podcast Report
NEW YORK, NEW YORK - July 21, 2022 – Triton Digital®, the global technology and services provider to the digital audio and podcast industry, announced today the release of its June 2022 reporting period (May 30 – July 3, 2022), U.S. Podcast Report, as measured by Triton’s Podcast Metrics measurement service.
For this reporting period, Stitcher Media remained in the #1 spot on the Top Sales Networks Report for the month of June with 56.9M Average Weekly Downloads and 14.5M Average Weekly Users. NPR came in at #2 with 30.7M Average Weekly Downloads and 6.4M Average Weekly Users, followed by Audacy Podcast Network at #3 with 29.2M Average Weekly Downloads and 7.7M Average Weekly Users.
The top three podcasts based on downloads included, Ben Shapiro Show (Cumulus Podcast Network) which climbed up the #1 spot, NPR News Now (NPR) at #2, and Crime Junkie (audiochuck) at #3.
For listeners, the top 3 podcasts in June included, Crime Junkie (audiochuck) again at #1, Up First (NPR) again at #2, and The Ben Shapiro Show (Cumulus Podcast Network) now at #3.
New shows debuting during this period for downloads included Snapped: Women Who Murder (Wondery) and for listeners included THE ED MYLETT SHOW (Stitcher Media) and True Crime with Kendall Rae (Audioboom).
