The stations of the Godó Group, among the most listened to in Europe in digital audio

The stations of the Godó Group, RAC1, RAC105 and RAC+1, occupy the sixth position in the monthly ranking of Triton Digital, one of the main world providers of streaming content from Europe, the Middle East and Africa: the Streaming Metrics Monthly Ranker. It is one of the industry benchmark lists that validates digital audio consumption data.

The figures for December 2022 indicate that the stations of the Godó Group have had close to nine million started reproductions and a total of seven and a half million hours of streaming listening. These figures place the stations of the Godó Group among the top 25 worldwide. The growth that digital audio has had in the world of radio in the last five years is unstoppable. In the year 2022, 20% of the total audience that RAC1 has came from internet listening.

Regarding the consumption of podcasts, RAC1, RAC+1 and RAC105 exceed three million monthly downloads. These are data from January 2023. Among the success of downloads in the podcast environment, notable data has been recorded, such as L'escorxador , an absolute success and the best premiere of RAC+1 in 2022. It is an absolutely transmedia project : It has not only the podcast that is published in RAC+1, but also videos on YouTube and clips on social networks. L'escorxador is an entertainment and humor product that poses unceremoniously dialectical battles between various RAC1 professionals; It is presented by the comedian Guillem Estadella. This February the second season has premiered with five new chapters.

Two premieres should also be added in recent months: Mengem cultura (a podcast on the history of gastronomy presented by chef Nandu Jubany) and Crits (a humor fiction with actors Cesc Casanovas and Xavier Bertran). Without forgetting the new seasons of Tranquil la ment (a proximity psychology podcast with the sub-editor of Versió RAC1 , Marc Serra, and the psychologist, lecturer and writer Xavier Guix) and Oxigen (which relives extreme weather situations that have happened in history, with RAC1's head of meteorology, Mònica Usart). Precisely Oxigen was, along with La revolució sexual, by Anna Alfonso and Rosanna Carceller, the first two exclusive RAC+1 podcasts.

One of the successes of RAC+1 has been the commitment to audio stories, which were released for Sant Jordi in 2021. And they have been completed with special editions for Christmas of the same year, with the adaptation of El conte de Nadal, by Charles Dickens , with the main voices of RAC1 interpreting the characters of the story; and Christmas 2022, with the dramatized adaptation of the Manel song Un camell d'orient , which in this case had the participation of actor David Verdaguer in the role of the camel.

RAC+1 is the exclusively digital chain of RAC1. Within this platform there are exclusive podcasts and the second antenna, basically focused on sports broadcasts, such as matches in the women's soccer league, the Champions League, both men's and women's, Eurobasketball, some World Cup matches in Qatar, stage finals of the Volta Ciclista a Catalunya and finals of other sports competitions. In addition, RAC+1 has also broadcast political events, such as the general policy debate; and social, such as the Ràdio Associació de Catalunya awards, the most important in the radio field in Catalonia; the DRAC awards and the RAC105 awards.
