Spotify Launches Geo-targeted Audio Platform for Brands
Measuring Audience With Triton Digital’s Webcast Metrics
New York, NY – December 4, 2014 – Spotify today announced that brands can now activate their engaged U.S. local audiences in the top 15 markets. Spotify’s user growth, combined with new ad tech and the power of Triton’s technology will now give brands access to Spotify’s audiences at both a national and local level.
“Our scale, technology and growing ubiquity from the car to the living room combined with the metrics of Triton will unlock the power of Spotify for brands in the biggest US markets,” said Brian Benedik, Vice President/Advertising & Partnerships, Spotify North America.
Spotify will use Triton Digital’s Webcast Metrics Local market-level reporting capabilities to better understand the listening behaviors and engagement with its millions of active monthly users.
“Webcast Metrics will provide Spotify’s advertisers and agencies a more holistic view of the streaming audio market,” said Rob Favre, CCO/GM Measurement & Analytics, Triton Digital. “In addition, Webcast Metrics will give Spotify a complete and accurate view of their listeners on both a national and local level.”
Webcast Metrics is the only MRC-accredited measurement solution for the streaming audio industry. It is census-based and does not rely on samples, surveys or panels, measuring actual listeners without estimates. Webcast Metrics Local provides market-specific information that enables agencies and advertisers to evaluate relative audience scale within specific markets. Traditional audio metrics; Average Quarter Hour (AQH), AQH Rating, Cume and Cume Rating are presented so that ad buyers can evaluate the entire audio marketplace with the same set of metrics.
