Triton Digital is seeking a permanent Senior Database Developer to join its development team. Working with the software development group, the senior database developer supports a multidisciplinary development team. His role is crucial for the success of the software development activities of the company. The successful candidate will not only support the development team but also the database administrators in order to improve the existing database lifecycle process.

We are looking with a candidate with a good deal of Oracle, MySql and MS SQL Server experience.

Main Responsibilities

• Analyze requirements with the development team in order to determine required changes to the databases
• Document database schemas and functions and keep the documentation up to date
• Create database scripts in order to modify existing schemas or create new ones
• Create and maintain stored procedures
• Apply existing software development practices (source code control, version management, etc.) and propose improvements
• Support the Quality Control team in their efforts to elaborate test plans
• Be part of the troubleshooting efforts of production issues
• Collaborate with database administrators in order to optimize production databases
• Support and mentor developers to make better use of database resources

Employment Requirements

• 5 years experience with MS SQL Server 2005 – 2008 and Transact-SQL
• 1-2 years experience with MySql 5.x
• 1-2 years experience with Oracle 9i/10i/11g et PL/SQL
• 1 year experience with SSRS et SSIS
• Demonstrable experience programming in all facets of the SQL language
• Experience with source code management tool such as SVN, CVS, Team Foundation, etc
• Autonomous and confortable in maintaining existing schemas and code
• Pragmatic
• Good communicator
• Good knowledge of French (verbal communication)

Assets

• Unit testing of SQL Server databases using tools such as DBUnit, Visual Studio DB Unit Tests or DbFit
• Knowledge of OLAP, data warehousing, business intelligence, data mining and analytics
• Applied mathematics
